     Combo Attacks 5-2

These attacks require precision timing of hitting buttons,
although often you are forgiven for delays. The only
exception is the Massive Attacks, which I find to only work
well when I use a thumb on up and the other on down and tap
     fairly quickly.

        Freeze Burst 5-2-1
              Keys: Left Right Up Up
              Cost: 40
This is a homing weapon which does quite minimal
damage because the main purpose is to stop a car
           not mass destruction.

        Rear Freeze 5-2-2
              Keys: Left Right Down Down
              Cost: 40
This is identical to above, but fires out the
back of the cars, good if you're being chased
           by some relentless car.

        Rear Attack 5-2-3
              Keys: Right Left Down Down
              Cost: 10
This fires the currently chosen weapon out of
the car backwards. It is equivalent to hitting
the fire button once. Don't waste it on the
           loader/crusher-type weapons, the remote or
           proximity weapons, the omni-directional weapons
nor the forced front weapons (like Drag Queen's)

        Teleport 5-2-4
              Keys: Up Up Down Down
              Cost: 40
This returns you to the central area of the ring,
which mean you can't get into secret areas using
it, but is still very useful for getting out of
weapons like Trash Man's, or if you're falling to
your death. Additionally, you can get out of
range of most attacks sent your way. Bonus: You
can confuse your friends better than the CPU.

        Invisibility 5-2-5
              Keys: Down Down Up Up
              Cost: 40
This cloaks you visually but not from radar. The
AI here actually acts like it cannot see you as a
bonus. In a 2/3/4 player match, a friend has to
look at your screen to find where you are.

        Jump 5-2-6
              Keys: Up Up Right
              Cost: 10
If you have no real idea what this does, you need
to remember this one has been around (as the
trampoline-thing) since the first game and is
indispensable to avoid homing weapons, jump over
enemy vehicles or barriers, or just get a slightly
           better firing angle.

        Massive Attack 5-2-7
Keys: Up Down Up Down Up
              Cost: 99
This launches 7 missiles, all of which but one
home in, the effect is the enemy is frozen and
hit for massive damage, hence the name massive
attack, but remember, nothing like Freeze or
Shield or even Teleport will be effective for a
           while.

        Rear Massive Attack 5-2-8
Keys: Up Down Up Down Down
              Cost: 99
The same as above, but fires backwards.

      Cheat Codes ........................................... 9

I'd like to start off this section by saying that I
think the cheats were really unnecessary in this game,
since I beat it in the first tournament I ever played,
with Pizza Boy, one of the hardest, save Microblast.
Of course, that's easy mode. Cream Puff mode. :)
I haven't dared try medium until I'm more expert. I
write a FAQ and I still dare not past Cream Puff mode.

Nifty Things to Blow Up ............................... 10

Everything that is listed here is what I can recall from
memory, but some things, like exploding barrels, are not
listed. If you have something you would like to add and
it is verifiable by me, send me an e-mail.

      Construction Yard
         False Blockades
Set up around the level, these guard various ramps,
they can be shot down, or ran through with no ill
effect. One leads to a ramp to a jump on the left
of a building with 3 jumps. The teleporter ahead
brings you to the area near the false wall.
         Crane
Aim at the side of the crane (the longer side) and
fire to blow up the entrance to it. You can now
use it to your own devious will.
         False Wall
On the right side of the area that has no way to get
to the top of (the teleport-to-only area) about 3 car
lengths from the end, shoot the wall to reveal an area
            with various power-ups in it.
         Vent
Above the area with the false wall is a way in from
above. Just shoot the vent from on top. It's much
easier than from the bottom, and you can't jump out
of the area through where it was.
         Building 1
A few small trailers guard a MIRV hidden inside.
         Building 2
A few small trailers conceal a Power, Napalm and Mortar.

      Neon City
         Train
Yes, the train can be destroyed, and best with a couple
of proximity mines or a remote placed on the tracks. Just
don't get hit by it. In the tunnel, if it still is running,
            hug the walls TIGHTLY.
         Glass
The glass on the jump to the health and Auto Lab can be run
            through or shot.
         False Wall
The wall to the left inside the above location can be blown
up for access to the platform on which you will be picked up
            by the hover transport.
         Glass
The glass to the right of where the transport drops you off
can be destroyed with a single bullet.
         Glass
Turn right again. More glass. Follow procedure above.

      Road Rage
         False Wall 1
To the right of a speed arrow is a wall with cracks in it.
Shoot it. Access lightning. Just don't stay there when you
            activate the lightning.
         False Wall 2
On the other side of this passage, from the intersection of
the four roads two going up and down, is the other broken
            wall.
         False Wall
Across the road from a road going down is a wall with a glass
window in it. Blow up wall. Blow up window. Get many nice
            powerups like Full Health.

      The Bedroom
         Gas Cans
Scattered around the room in about 3 places are big boxes
            labeled "Gasoline." Blow them up.
         Lamp
If you didn't read the level clue, shoot this up for a
while for a lightning power-up. The sources are the
power sockets and the center of the floor. Some of the
hidden area is safe, mainly the small area with Full
Health, Auto Lobs, and Rain 2.
         Small Blockade
There's a small black box in the area with the only level
portal. A couple speed missiles will do the trick to get
to the secret area mentioned above.

      Amazonia 3000 B.C.
         False Wall
To a secret area, a false wall is in the deep area to the
left of the bouce pad. The wall is in a corner in the
direction of the temple with the pillar of light with the
            bounce pad on your right.

      The Oil Rig
         Glass
The glass on the left side of the room next to the drill
can be broken. Don't jump through it, or you'll probably
end up falling to your death.
         Glass
The glass on the right side can also be blown up. See
            above.
         Gate
There's a gate on the alternate road instead of the silo
on the bottom level. The first one can be blown up.
         Gate
The second one can be blown up, too.
         Glass
The glass guarding the bottom teleporter on the silo can
            be broken.
         Glass
The glass on the other teleporter inside the silo can also
            be broken.
         False Gate
The small gate leading up from the central area towards the
            helipad can be broken
         False Fence
Also the fence to the left of it.
         False Fence
Also the fence to the right of the gate.
         False Fence
Don't forget the fence under the ramp to the room next to
            the drill.

      Minion's Maze
         Gate
There's one gate going down to the ultimate power-up area.
         Gate
            Here's another one going downstairs.
         Gate
            I'm seeing a pattern here.
         Gate
Okay, the last one. All 4 are made to look similar to
walls and are near ramps for the most part.

      The Carnival
         Front Entrance
The door can't be blown up. The next best thing or two?
Mortar, Napalm, Remotes and Just plain jumping about twice
should collapse the floor in front of the doors.
         Side Entrance
There's a big brown box on the wall. Go right up next to
the wall so the tent is to your right and you are facing
the box. The floor there is false. Jump or follow above
            instructions.
         False Wall
There's a wall that is at the end of the tunnel from above.
It's the alternate entrance to the funhouse that few CPU
            players understand.
         False Wall
To the extreme left once you enter the funhouse, there's a
false wall leading to a small tunnel with 2 exploding
            barrels.
         False Wall
The end of the tunnel above has no light until you shoot
            this down.
         Roller Toaster
This can also be blown up. It SEEMS to follow the inside
track, but I'm not sure if you can avoid it on the outside
track to avoid getting hit by it. Follow same strategy
for blowing up the train in Neon City.
         False Door/Wall
The door to the circus tent is protected by this wall which
is quickly broken. It's guarded by the exploding barrels.
         False Door/Wall
The door to the portrait room is blocked by this and 2
exploding barrels, and there's another barrel in the center
            of the room.
         The Portraits
Okay, you're in the portrait room, but where are the
portraits? Fire directly into the center for one. Fire
about halfway between that and each wall to reveal two
more, then fire near the center of the side walls for the
last 2. Not particularly useful, but cute.

                     the "FREEZE" caption.
Note M-P: The "Only XXXXX" means the all weapon pickups will be
replaced with the XXXXX. Hence, "Only Napalm" means
the only pickups will be Napalms.
Note Q: CPU-controlled cars will ignore health power-ups. Does
                     NOT affect CPU Ally.
Note V: All CPU cars will relentlessly attack player cars.
Note W: Enables 0 enemies in Deathmatch Mode. (Play Alone)
                     Useful for learning the levels.
Note X: When choosing your character, go into the INFO screen
for a very revealing Zoom-In Shot of Flower Power.

5.2 Weapon and Armor Classes Table:

This is a short table which, essentially, tells you if you have a
Class _ Weapon it will do __ Points of Damage to an _ Class Armored
Enemy. Remember, this is the ideal and may not be too accurate.

                                    Weapon Class:

                            # 3 | 4 | 5 #

          Class IV (4) Auger
          Class V (5) Minion

               your car, and you're there.
Note A: It will load the level that you see in the intro which has
no Health, no Turbos and no Powerups.
Note B: It will load the same level as the above, except that this
version of the level contains Health, Powerups, Ramps, etc.
Note C: On 4 different walls, you can see "Club Kid's House", a neon
smiley face, "Richochet Heaven", and a neon angry face. The
Disco Ball generates Lightning, and you cannot get out of the
range of it, but neither can anyone else. There is only one
               of each common powerup.

   9 Hidden Weapons

     Trick #1: 8 Specials
     Level : Hangar 18
How : Destroy the control panels and enter the teleporter.
Find the UFO and shoot it. A simple bullet will do.
When it blows up, be careful not to be near it as it
flying shrapnel can not only harm your car, but enemy
                    cars as well.

Trick #2: Hidden Weapon - "Spaceship"
     Level : Hangar 18
How : Destroy the control panels and enter the teleporter.
Once you are up, turn immediately to the left and go
down the ramp and turn left again at the wall. Enter
the teleporter, turn around, shoot the glass dome and
look for a weapon pickup. This weapon is a lightning
powerup with four sources on the UFO, it works best on
cars near the UFO, and they must be BELOW it.

Trick #3: Hidden Weapon - "Radar"
     Level : Tokyo
How : You've seen that huge satellite that tracks people, and
it is actually a weapon. On that particular rooftop,
look for a jump ramp over the lava to a higher building.
Take this ramp at 100+ MPH or take Lava Soup. Go up an
upramp to another jump. Take this one again at 100+ MPH
or you will fall short. You should now be on top of a
store that is next to the radar. See that little radar
powerup? Back to the edge of the rooftop and hold turbo.
You should catch it. Now, the radar will fire at whoever
it is pointing at when you activate it. The beam cannot
go through buildings, and it is not terribly accurate on
                    airborne enemies.

Trick #4: Hidden Weapon - "Eye"
     Level : Egypt
How : Find the Pyramid. There should be a tomb lying up on
the front. Shoot it until it explodes. Enter the down
ramp and you will see another Tomb on a wall. Shoot this
tomb, too. It will blow up, revealing a teleporter. Go
into the teleporter and pick up the little pyramid. It
is a little bomb that causes a giant beam from the former
top of the big pyramid to shoot the little one with the
effect of a Remote Bomb and a Napalm. It works best on
                    frozen opponents.

     Level : Hangar 18
     Item : Wall
How : Find the wall with a "002" on it. Turn left from the
control panel and shoot at the area with a crack in it.
This leads to a teleporter with a few weapons.

     Item : Control Panels
How : To get the teleporter in the UFO find the flashing red

     Level : Hangar 18
     Item : Flying Ship
How : Once through the above teleporter, look for a flying
UFO. Shooting it with anything gains you 8 specials
and it also will harm anyone under the exploding UFO.

     Level : Hangar 18
     Item : Glass Dome
How : Once through the UFO teleporter, turn left and go down
the ramp, turn left at the end, hit the telpeorter and

     Level : London
     Item : Big Ben
How : Most generic straight-shooting powerups or machine guns
will work when aimed using the ramp, just get up it, and
don't go over the top of it.

     Level : London
     Item : Pillar
How : There is a pillar past an arch. Shoot it for a Remote.

                    for weapons.

     Level : London
     Item : Walls
How : There is a wall with a Closed sign or something. You
can shoot it for a hidden passage. There are 2
                    entrances to this part.

     Level : Tokyo
     Item : Fan
How : Most weapons will blow it up, but once it blows up,
enemies will not go over it. Try luring them on, then
                    blowing it up.

     Level : Tokyo
     Item : Tower
How : There is a tower on the Full Health (Bright Gray) Roof
top. Look for a tower. Blow it up and you can get a
                    remote.

     Level : Tokyo
     Item : Walls
How : On the building to get the radar you can shoot down a
sign and a garage type thing. Again, most weapons will
                    do here.

     Level : Egypt
     Item : Sphinx
How : Aim a weapon to shoot straight at the Sphinx's Face.

     Level : Egypt
     Item : Pillar
How : Shoot the door to get downstairs. Shoot the pillar to

     Level : Calypso's Blimp
     Item : Control Panels
How : This is Calypso's Regenerator. Shoot out the four

the final which you must have destroyed the other four
to get to. They are: 2 in the Cloud Room, 1 in the
Cargo Room, 1 in the Blue Room, wiht the Final one in
the Red Room upstairs. It is guarded by lasers that get
knocked out as you destroy the other 4 control panels.

     Level : Warehouse II
     Item : Cargo

   12 Semi-Ambush Points

In Twisted Metal 1 and 2, you were able to hide or remain in a

   13 Lightning Power Sources

Ever get confused about where that lightning is coming from, and
where it reaches to? Here's some general areas.

     North Pole:
Santa's Workshop has to have been blown up to get the powerup, so
you see a present with a flasher on top. There's the source. It
can reach all over the island, onto the ramp to the island, the area
near the pit's ramp and a bit past it, and down into the most of the
     pit nearest the present.

     Egypt:
Downstairs in the giant temple you will see a pharoah's face.
That is the source and it reaches generally only to the circular
room and a little bit into the passage.

     Calypso's Blimp:
Upstairs the source cannot be seen easily, but it can be felt. It
reaches downstairs to the nearer halves of the Cloud Room and Cargo
Bay, down the two passages a ways, and most of upstairs. To avoid
it, get into the Red Room, the Blue Room, the corners of upstairs, of
to the back halves of the Cloud Room and Cargo Bay. Can be seen in
"ceiling" of Main Room at the top center.

     Club Kid's House:
The disco ball is the source and there is no escape. The lightning
powerup, curiously gives you 3 instead of 2 shots.

Guia Twisted Metal 2 (Inglés)

 The Levels

   1. Los Angeles:
   Enemies: 6
   Locations of Health:
   Next to the tunnels
Next to the pit of fire
Next to the burnt-out building near the pit of fire
Over the area with the 3 small jumps in the road
In the small caged area across the bridge(super)
   Strategies:

Blow up the hot dog stands to find weapons.

Destroy the four "legs" of the electrical source to get weapons.
Use the ramps to get on top of the tunnels to find weapons and a
teleporter which takes you directly to the small caged area.

You can break the glass in the tunnels by driving through it.

You can blow up the bridge by setting a Remote bomb on or below it.

You can blow up the Hollywood sign by jumping and firing a missile at
   it.

A nice tactic to use is to go all the way along the road, grabbing
weapons, then when you reach the tunnels, go up to the flat area and
grab all the weapons. Do this over and over again, firing at enemies
who get near you. You'll keep replenishing your weapons, and you'll be
moving most of the time so you're a difficult target.

If you are Warthog, Spectre, or Minion, a cool tactic to use is to use
the ramp to jump on top of the tunnels, and then just sit there facing
the hot dog stands. If anyone comes into that area, fire your Special
at them. The good thing about this spot is that nobody can really hit
   you.

   2. Moscow:
   Enemies: 5
   Locations of Health:
In the center on the glowing object
   On the upper level
   Strategies:

Every so often, the Weapons Generator in the center of the area above
the ramps will produce a weapon inside of a red beam. Jump through the
red beam using the ramp and you will collect the weapon. Also, every
once in a great while, there will be a super Health power-up inside of
that beam instead of a weapon. Get it while it's there, regardless of
   what your health is.

You can blow up any of the ramps by placing a Remote bomb on them.

You can blow up the Weapons Generator by firing Napalm at it!

You can blow up both the Weapons Generator and all of the ramps by
placing a Remote bomb on the glowing object in the center.

Weapons can be found on three of the ramps, and also underneath them.

Firing Napalm at the banners hanging on the wall will burn them away.
One of them reveals a secret code.

Because this level is so small, it is very fast-paced. Run laps around
the top, firing at enemies. You can use Homing missiles while up top
to hit enemies down below. Watch out for Rico bombs running rampant.

   3. Paris:
   Enemies: 6
   Locations of Health:
   Inside the museum
   On the rooftops (2)
   Above one of the fountains

   Strategies:

This level is the easiest one if you know what to do. Use the
teleporter inside the museum to get onto the ledge above it. On this
ledge, move back into the corner on the right side. When your enemies
teleport up here, they will drive off the ledge! You are safe from
harm this way. Before they drive off the ledge, though, shoot them
with something to damage them. Your enemies will just keep teleporting
and falling over and over again and you can blast them without getting
hurt. Also, they might cluster down in the street and fight each
other. You can fire Napalm (left, right, up) at them while they're
down there to cause even more damage. If you run out of weapons, just
use machine guns. It just takes longer. You might think this is a
wimpy way to play, but it works wonders. Also, if you're going to do
this, don't blow up the Eiffel Tower. If you do, then the enemies will
have access to the rooftops and can shoot at you from there. Leaving
the Eiffel Tower standing forces them to remain down in the street.

You can blow up the Eiffel Tower by placing a Remote bomb either
inside it or under it. Once you blow it up, a ramp is created that
leads to the rooftops, where there are Health power-ups and weapons.

Shoot the parked vehicles and statues to uncover weapons.

To get something over a fountain, sit in the center of the fountain
and let the water push you upward.

There are weapons inside the Eiffel Tower, too.

Shoot the Mona Lisa with Napalm to burn the picture away and reveal a
   secret code.

   4. Amazonia:
   Enemies: 6
   Locations of Health:
   On the island
   On the bridge
In the temple at one end of the bridge
   In the underground tunnel(super)
   Strategies:

The lava in this level gradually drains your energy away the longer
   you drive on it.

You can shoot at the temple at one end of the bridge to reveal two
hidden rooms. In one of these rooms, there are three buttons. Shoot
each of these buttons to reveal Turbo, Napalm, and a Health power-up.

Shoot at the center of the temple across the section with several
ramps to reveal a hidden room. Inside this room, you can use the
teleporter to go to the island, which has weapons and a Health
   power-up.

Shoot at the giant statues to reveal the underground tunnel. In this
tunnel, you can find weapons and a super Health power-up.

I like to run laps around the circle in this level, going up the
temple ramp to get the two Homing missiles up there, and also jumping
over the ramps at the other end to get to the island.

After you defeat everyone in this level, you have to fight Minion.

   5. New York:
   Enemies: 6
   Locations of Health:
On top of the structures with pointed roofs
   In the swimming pool
   In the elevator shaft(super)
   Strategies:

YOU CAN BLOW UP THE STATUE OF LIBERTY!!! :) To do so, simply shoot at
her with missiles or whatnot, and she'll turn into a girl wearing a
   bikini.

You can drive off a ledge to your death quite easily in this level if
you don't know where you're going. Make sure that if you're going to
drive off an edge, there's something beneath you!

This level is much easier if you know a simple trick. For this trick,
you need Rico bombs. You can find 4 of them in this level, in these
locations: 1) Under the brown ramp on the brown building, 2) On the
top tier of the light gray building, 3) In a corner of the dark gray
building, and 4) Between two of the structures with pointed roofs.
When you've got your bombs, go the lower tier of the light gray
building, and face the ramp that leads to the upper tier. Sit about 5
or 6 "squares" away from the ramp. When somebody comes down the ramp,
as soon as they reach the bottom, fire a Rico bomb. It will hit the
enemy, knocking them off the ledge! They will fall to their death.
This trick is wonderful. Make sure your timing is accurate, though.
Also, watch your radar to make sure no one is approaching you from the
sides. You can use your radar to tell when someone is on the upper
tier, because they will be near you, but their "dot" will be flashing.
That indicates that they are on a different tier than you are,
   obviously the upper one.

On top of the dark gray building is a light gray structure. Shoot this
structure, and you will reveal a hole. Fall down the hole and you will
land in a swimming pool (with a Health power-up near you). There are
Fire missiles around the edge of the pool, and if you go around the
corner, you will find more weapons in the locker room. You can leave
this area by driving through the glass past the locker rooms.

To get the Power missiles on top of that light gray structure,
jump(up, up, left) on top of it, stop, and jump straight up.

If you fall into the dark gray building's indentation in its side, you
will land in an area with a teleporter. This teleporter takes you to
the upper tier of the light gray building. You can also go through a
narrow space and then turn right to be where the structures with
pointed roofs are. Drive straight past them and you will see a glass
office building. Drive through the glass and you will see an elevator
door and a teleporter. The teleporter takes you on top of the
building, where you can jump to either the brown building, or the top
of the pointed roofs. If you destroy the elevator door and go in the
   shaft, you'll find a super Health power-up.

On top of the pointed roofs there's a poster. Drive through it to
reveal a Power missile. If you're going fast enough, you can drive
into one of the upper tiers of the glass office building, where you
can find weapons and also the elevator shaft. (Does anyone think the
guy on the poster looks a little like Dennis Rodman?)

On the brown building, you'll find a ramp that leads down into the
glass office building. When you go through the glass, you'll actually
be on the middle tier of the office building.

If you fall in the right place between buildings, you'll see a secret
code made out of red lights.

   6. Antarctica:
   Enemies: 7
Locations of Health: On one of the ramps in the middle ravine
On top of the red ramps
In the center of a square hole in an ice structure
On top of the large white plateau
   Strategies:

Because this level is set on a glacier, every so often part of the
glacier will fall into the water. You can tell when this is going to
happen when steam rises out of a section of ice. Don't fall with it,
or you'll die. You can also drive off the edge of the glacier.

You can use the falling ice to your advantage, though. Here are a
couple of tricks to use. You can use the red ramp to jump on top of
the other red ramp (the one with the Health power-up on it), and on
that ramp no one can reach you because it's elevated off the ground.
You can just sit here on this ramp, and watch the ice fall (and your
enemies fall with it). If you're patient, you can beat the level this
way without harm. However, if too much time passes, the red ramps will
fall into the water, so get off of them when they do. When that
happens, you can drive onto the large white plateau with the white
ramps at either end of it. This never falls into the ocean so you can
sit here. However, every so often, someone will come up one of the
ramps and you'll have to fight them. You can try and trick them into
driving off the plateau by driving off it yourself, but be careful of
enemies below you. This strategy works better than running around the
level, getting hit constantly and possibly falling off the glacier.

You can shoot the little towers to reveal weapons.

The teleport in this level takes you to a small island with weapons on
   it.

The middle ravine area also has lots of weapons for the taking, and
   ramps leading out of it.

   7. Holland:
   Enemies: 9
Locations of Health: In a haystack opposite a windmill
In a haystack near a windmill
In a corner opposite a windmill
   Next to a windmill
   Inside a windmill(super)
   Strategies:

This is the worst level. Nine against one in a wide open field with no
cover is not my idea of fairness. Don't stop moving in this level, and
use your shield a lot, and you may have a chance. And don't think
about hiding in the windmills, because the enemies will blow them up.

The teleports next to each windmill will take you inside of them,
where you can find weapons and a super Health power-up in one of them.

Shoot the haystacks to reveal weapons.

   8. Hong Kong:
   Enemies: 8
Locations of Health: In a parked car
   Down a dead end (2)
In the intersection at the center of the water area
   In the train tunnel
   In the temple(super)
   Strategies:

You can jump over the fence using the ramps, but it's kind of
pointless to do so because the water on the other side kills you. :)

You can find weapons in the water area, next to the fence.

Shoot the parked cars to reveal weapons.

Inside the temple, use the teleport to go to the center of the top
tier. Once there, drive off one of the ramps using Turbo to reach the
ledge at the perimeter of the temple. Here you can drive around the
perimeter to find weapons and a super Health power-up.

You can find lots of weapons in the train tunnel, but be careful of
the trains. There's one going in each direction. You can shoot them to
blow them up, but they come back. You can also jump on top of the
trains. Doing so will recharge your weapons every time the train
drives through an opening. There's also a secret code on top of the
   trains (hard to read, though).

The strategy I like to use in this level is getting all the weapons in
the water area, then inside the temple, then in the train tunnel,
shooting at whoever is in my way. I do this over and over again. It
takes a lot of time, but you gradually wear down everyone, and they'll
start dropping like flies eventually. After you beat this level, you
fight Dark Tooth. You can get a separate password for just the Dark
Tooth battle so you don't have to beat everyone in Hong Kong again.

(PSX) Twisted Metal 4

Título: Twisted Metal 4

Idioma: Inglés

Región: NTSC

RAR: 554MB
